Vanick Roles

We believe in having talented people in the appropriate roles based on their strengths while engaging them to grow in areas of weakness. Everyone works as a team with a common goal and that is to successfully complete each project with expertise and superior service. In addition to daily tasks, all of our roles act as consultants making sure to fully understand all business needs to offer creative business solutions to meet those needs.

Here are some of the roles within Vanick:

Account Managers

Account managers are the communication liaison between the customer and the Vanick team. Relationship management is key for this role as account managers must build relationships externally as well as internally. They are responsible for fully understanding the needs of the customer and communicating with their team on a successful solution. Account managers have strong organization, time management, and communication skills that aide them in managing multiple accounts as well as multiple projects at a time.

At Vanick, we like to refer to our software developers as “consultants” because the role consists of wearing multiple hats. Our developers are software architects who must be proficient in business analysis, development, client interaction, and resource management. The day-to-day work for our development team is very dynamic, with most developers working on multiple projects. We strive to offer a level of business process consulting for our clients, so we work hard to develop those critical thinking skills within our development team. As a developer, you will be working with a peer group of highly experienced professionals who will push you to reach your full potential. You will also be empowered to meet the needs of your clients. And, of course, you will be exposed to some of the most exciting software technologies available in the market.

Graphics Technicians

In this vital position, you will be converting customers' marketing materials into dynamic templates making them compatible with our marketing software.  Graphics technicians work best in a fast-paced environment, independently as well as part of a team.  Critical thinking and problem solving are key to this role.  Previous experience with graphic design is required. Knowledge of marketing communication piece layout design is required as well as experience in a printing, graphic arts or direct mail industry environment with a competent understanding of offset (including four-color process), and digital printing.

Project Managers

A critical component of our successful service delivery. PM’s are not just project managers, they are also account managers and business analysts. PM’s are responsible for the successful delivery of all solutions to the client. Providing this successful solution includes working with allocated personnel, project plans, and financials. Many client engagements include opportunities to streamline business processes, so you will be assisting in the reengineering of some of those processes. Your main objective as a PM at Vanick is to understand your client’s business challenges and opportunities and successfully utilize technology to meet their needs.

QA Analysts

We believe in product quality, and we believe that product quality is gained and reinforced through the diligence and precision of those who protect that solution. As a QA analyst you are at the forefront of that guardianship. Vanick’s QA team is expected to exhibit strong levels of communication, analysis, and task management when faced with the responsibility of ensuring a solution’s level of acceptance. You will be expected to learn new technologies, adopt and adapt to standard QA tools, and demonstrate the desire to learn, adjust, and even teach various testing techniques amongst the team and company. You are a hub of communication within your project team and accordingly, you are expected to radiate that information amongst the development and project management teams, as well as other QA resources.

Sales Executives

As a sales executive, you will be working with clients, to understand their business challenges and opportunities. The goal of the sales team at Vanick is to help clients leverage cutting edge technology to streamline business, make a larger profit, and reduce costs. Those clients will represent business segments large and small across multiple industries. You will be selling to Marketing and I.T. executives as well as executives in other areas of business including Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance. Our compensation plan provides an aggressive incentive model for successful sales executives with virtually no ceiling.

Solution Architects

A Solution Architect acts in a lead technical role, providing guidance across projects in the design and support of our solutions. As an architect, you have to be as comfortable talking with end users as with developers. Communication skills are paramount to this role. Much of your day to day will include feasibility efforts, estimates, the formulation of technical recommendations, monitoring technical progress on projects, and leading projects in many cases.
